In Which I Appear in Videos

More than usual. Sure, twice a week on Youtube, but this week the Ignite Waterloo 13 videos came out, including my talk  on the unsung benefits of charity events (which wasn’t my best, but turned out a lot better than I thought). I also make a brief appearance in Mad Art Lab’s Carl Sagan Day video, which is probably the closest I’ll ever come to making a video with famous people.

Other things are also afoot, Headshots from the Heart is getting rolling, music is happening, and I’m putting together a nerd event here in KW!

GM Jam

On November 27, tabletop GMs and aspiring GMs will come together at the Rum Runner pub for a GM Jam, where we’ll cackle over the fates of our players, talk shop, and generally nerd it up about D&D and other roleplaying games. It’s pretty informal, and it’s our first time. I hope to do it every other month, and have a small crew of people come together to trade ideas and work through issues. The theme for our first gathering is “What is best in GMing?” Check TPK for the real answer.

G33K Art Show

I’ll be playing  some nerd music and covers at the third annual G33K Art Show from 6:30-8:00 on Saturday, November 23. I’m really excited, and there’ll be a lot of brilliant artists there, including by friend Ryan from Dragonsmith Armoury and Rob from Intelligent Designs. Look for me wandering around jamming on my guitar and ukulele and making various music noises. If you’ve got a song you’d like me to play, leave it in the comments, and I hope to see you there.

  1. Dear Deborah,Thank you so much for this post. I almost skipped reading it because I was so busy at work this morning, but I am glad I did. It gives me good ideas for how to craft a query letter for a biography of an unsung hero I am working on. In Peace,Caroline McAlisterAuthor ofBrave Donatella and the Jasmine Thief

  3. The interviewer talk to much and I personally feel he is a bit arrogant.? Michelle is just so humble and polite, she is a great person. Hey interviewer please use formal language when you’re interviewing

  4. on more than one occasion, I’m don’t think they were the right words in the right order. It wasn’t a complete waste of time but having written that many of the wrong words, going back to untangle them just wasn’t an option for me.
