That’s Vlogging Every Day in April. If you follow the Riot channel, you may have noticed a lot more updates than our usual vlogs, videogames, and podcasts. That’s because it’s VEDA, and although VEDA has been abandoned by my genius crush Hank Green, likely because he’s on tour all month, I’m still vlogging every day in April. Sometimes it’s short, sometimes it’s videogames, sometimes it’s music, but it’s always something. I’ve been doing it for the past two years, and it never fails to remind me of a few things that I want to share.

I am very strange.

Not like, peanut butter taxidermy strange, but in the sense that, while I wouldn’t turn a once-beloved pet into an eviscerated furry bird-feeder, but strange enough that I’d try to relay that concept to you and think that it’s a functional analogy. That’s why I like safe space.

The Show Must Go On

I haven't made anything in months (except for podcasts, thanks to my partner shoving me along on that one). Barely written a word, only shot a few videos, wrote a couple of songs but haven't recorded them (it doesn't count if you don't record them. Anything else is just singing in the shower). It's got to the point where I'm having random nightmares about making stuff. It's not writer's block, writer's block is for chumps. Not life getting in the way, though it's done plenty of that. Not even videogames leeching away my precious energies. It's just not doing it.…

My First Megaparty

This weekend my house has been occupied by Headshots from the Heart organizers and volunteers as we edit video like mad. With forty-eight hours of footage from the past two years, it's high time something was done, and so it will be. We're pulling performances, contests, jokes and weirdness, and having a great time doing it (even though much of it looks like five people sitting in silence until one of them laughs). Trust me, this is way better than trying to do it on my own. It's more than fun though, it reminds us of what we're doing and why…
